Something from Nothing. The Cheese Story
When we lived in Washington state, we had a kind of cabin colony with about seven friends who lived close together. We were all studying about manifesting, quantum physics, and the law of attraction. And we were practicing the principles we were learning as often as we could.
One night in the fall, Karen decided to make homemade pizzas for the group. She had almost everything she needed, but no Mozzarella cheese. So she made the rounds of everyone’s homes to see if anyone had Mozzarella cheese. We all dug through our refrigerators, hunting for the cheese.
No luck. So she made the pizzas with other cheeses, and they were great.
The next day we decided to dig up the carrot bed in our raised bed garden. The carrots were mature and were just waiting there for us to harvest. We headed over to the garden with our pitchforks and dug in.
After a few forkfuls of dirt and carrots were turned over, the next pitchfork stab uncovered a 2.5 pound block of Mozzarella Cheese buried under the carrots. The block of cheese was fully wrapped with thick plastic, as if we had picked it off the supermarket shelf. And the expiration date was still a few months away.
So what really happened here?
Did we accidentally plant the 2.5 block of cheese deep in the dirt when we were planting the carrot seeds in the spring? Is there any way we might have accidentally dropped the cheese into the dirt and not noticed it when planting?
Did one of us run to the store to get the cheese, and then sneak out and put it under the carrots in the night?
Did it just appear out of nowhere in response to our attention to it and desire for it?
Who really knows for sure. We all swore that we didn’t sneak it into the garden in the night, and somehow bury the cheese under the mature carrots without disturbing the ground. And we couldn’t imagine being so braindead that we would have accidently planted it deep in the dirt under the carrot seeds the previous spring.
But there it was — the cheese Karen had wanted and had us all searching for in our refrigerators the night before. Right there before our eyes.
Strange, right? And wonderful. The world is full of mysterious things.
When you use these principles, remember to leave room for the mysterious and unexpected. And plan to be delighted!
